This is the first “classical” piece I ever wrote and reflects my obsession at the time with unusual scales. The main body/middle section uses a whole tone scale exclusively – my  computer music teacher (it was a term project) said it sounded like the theme to a speghetti western by Tim Burton – I took that as a complement.
