song: Weird Blues album:JMQ II (live gig album)
music by Jeff MacArthur
performed by the Jeff MacArthur Quartet:
- Jeff MacArthur – bass
- Mark Follett – sax
- Steve Berger – guitar
- Brent Folett – drums
Based on the strange “Coltrane” blues changes (and then alternating with regular blues changes for solos), this was performed live in Vancouver. Bass and drums trade fours at 4.01 – always liked this solo, check it out.

Solcola: Nighttime (Live Studio)
When it’s late
and the sun does no longer shine
you can always go out in the nighttime
all alone
The cool air
fresh and free from the daylight
you can see so clear through the dark night
and you know
That you can see the stillness around
and the sound
is nowhere to be heard
And you can lay yourself on the ground
til sunrise
You watch the stars
and the moon up over your head
lights the way through the darkness
til you’re home
